Position Summary

The Safety/HSE Manager will provide full-time health, safety, and environmental (HSE) support to company operations and will ensure that all practices follow OSHA regulatory requirements and Hydrafab company policies. The coordinator will monitor and measure the effectiveness of the current safety/risk programs to improve and create new processes/procedures where needed and implement across the organization to create a cohesive safety environment that ensures ongoing compliance and continuous improvement to help build a culture of proactive safety across the organization. The best candidates will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines, knowledge of safety processes and procedures specific to fabrication, pipe-fitters, welding, and working on manufacturing sites.


High school diploma or equivalent / Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or Engineering discipline.


  • Proven experience as HSE Coordinator

  • Knowledge of HSE processes, procedures and methodology.

  • Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company safety regulations.

  • Experience in developing training programs

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.


  • Ensures the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures and teach proper conformance.

  • Conduct employee safety training (i.e., forklift, confined space, tooling, etc.).

  • Conduct regular walk-through safety inspections for all company facilities: Shops, warehouses, and office facilities.

  • Monitor and develop culture of safety throughout the company.

  • Evaluate, implement, manages, and monitors safety programs, policies, and procedures and ensure compliance with company safety program and OSHA regulations.

  • Collects data and reports on all safety and accident events and document and communicates inspection results.

  • Walk the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and to provide support as needed.

  • Develop, implement and oversee training systems and programs to support plant and EHS objectives.

  • Identify and recommend solutions to hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions.

  • Evaluates the organization's procedures, facilities, and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions.

  • May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, resource conservation, or other safety related activities depending on the industry and location.
